Salute to guide-dogs – Experiencing Guide to a blind dog
Last week, a blind female dog with her 2 black puppies was thrown, in one of the villages, up North. It is most encouraging that in the arab villages ther is an awakening to the suffering of stray dogs, and the man to whose firm yard the dog was thrown, immediately called me and protected the blind dog until my arrival. Sad that it happened , at all . A blind dog, ? how did she become blind ? who took care of her ? who threw her and her puppies ? why ? both her puppies , named bella and stella and Joey, picked from the streets the same day, are at my dog nursery, healthy, happy, cared with love and waiting for adoption. Donna, the blind mom is staying at our Northern branch, until her dispatch to be treated, in the center. And now, I would like to share with you a most unique experience, thanks to Dona the blind dog. She is a happy being, although blind and tries to use her other senses, to move on with life. When I took her, she wouldn’t walk, so I lifted her up, talked to her , coed her, and once she trusted me, she leaned her body to my right foot, and walked the same pace with me, and so we marched together to my car, 2 “blind” sisters connected by the sentiment of compassion : she blind and me blinded by my tears… at that point I understood the function of a guide dog to the blind. I salute you, beautiful sensitive creatures.
Donations… donations…donations are needed to keep on reaching and helping as much as can be picked of stray dogs , wandering with no protection, until their collection by the society of “let animals live”
… and hereby the schedule for the coming week : picking p a pupy from a kennel in the north, before his extermination… pick-up of 4 puppies from Bier el Maksur…/ neighbouring Shfaram hen shfaram pick up of a dog with 7 puppies, anf finally pick up of a puppy in trauma/fear, by Nahariya
