A personal appeal from Ms. Eti Altman
Hello everyone,
Allow me to introduce myself to all of you , dear overseas friends who care about animals in Israel.
I am now in the third decade of my work in the battle for Animal Welfare and rights in Israel. I have been doing it since 1986 and still going strong
I am the most acclaimed person regarding this issue and as you can see I have even received a special award from the President of Israel recognizing my and Let The Animals Live long lasting work on behalf of animals in Israel.
STILL – financial support is NOT part of the agenda of the government of Israel , nor of its citizens.
The other pictures that you can also see contain horrible visual sights of dead dogs, and they are a result of an irresponsible behavior created by the owners of private animals in Israel. Many let their dogs wander of free. In addition, dogs are not neutered or spayed and so, there is a huge reproduction that leads to a massive killing of dogs. It should be noted that each year 100,000 are being killed in Israel, as you can see in the pictures, it’s their reality.
I wonder how is it possible that after seeing sights like this, the public in Israel does not understand the need for large investment of financial resources in order to reduce those terrible number of stray dogs .( Although the pictures show dogs the situation of feral and stray cats is even worse.)
I ask all of you, dear friends, to support us in reaching our goal to end the cruel and most miserable life of unwanted dogs and cats in Israel.
Our mission in Let The Animals Live, is to have a country where every animal is wanted, loved and lives with full respect to its natural needs .
Please help us in every possible way to put an end to this situation we encounter every day here in Israel.
I believe that all of us , animal lovers, want to help Israel become an enlightened and modern country in this respect , as well.
In order to do so we really need to make a difference – but we can not do it without the generous contributions from animal lovers who live in more advanced countries.
The state of Israel provides us with a miniscule budget which amounts to about one percent of the total budget necessary for our activity every year!
We depend almost totally on the goodness of your hearts, dear people, animal lovers from all over the world.
Please donate soon with generosity and a warm heart for our continued operation, and for the development of these and other practical programs.
YOU CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE.
